I can't think of another city that embraces a character of a movie like Philly does with Rocky. Ask anyone who grew up in the area and they'll get a little teary eyed just talking about the films (We'll maybe not Rocky 5, we pretend that never happened). A statue of Rocky (first seen in Rocky III) stands in front of the Art Museum and the famous steps that he ran up in 1976.

The statue has become quite a tourist attraction. No matter what time of day it is, you'll also see people of all ages running up the Art Museum steps just like the famous prize fighter. It's just what you do when you come to Philly.

Why don't you try to run up the art museum steps for good old Rock. He loves ya.

I don't like cake...
I like cannoli. In fact, I told my wife when we got married that cannoli from Termini's must be there. It was my only requirement. Well, that and she had to say "I do." In South Philly, there are many places to get a good cannoli. Termini's is the best. Since 1921. If you've never had one, I suggest you get one for dessert tonight. And don't worry, they're not just for mobsters.

"Whiz, wit." That is how you do it in South Philly. That will get you a great steak with cheese whiz and fried onions. Don't say it wrong or you'll get the soup nazi treatment. And don't order a steak with swiss cheese like this guy.
