I'm going southbound
One of the best skyline views (pictured above) in Philadelphia is, or was, from the South Street Bridge...right past the University of Penn. The bridge that lasted for 85 years and was a favorite among photographers worldwide is being torn down and reconstructed. While the bridge was falling apart (literally), and needed to be fixed...it will be missed. It looks like it will take 2-3 years for South Street Bridge 2.0 to open.
So what once was this, will soon be this. I like change. But I'll still miss this view until I can cross the Skuykill River again. And I kind of wish the design was nicer.

i got a fever...
and the only prescription is more Phillies baseball
Spring was in the air today with a nice 50 degree day...in the middle of February! But that is ok. Pitchers and catchers report next week and the first spring training game is scheduled for Feb. 25th. And just to top it off today, the big guy with the subway sandwich was signed for 3 more years. Take it away Harry...we're ready.
