slaw, philly style...

Funky. Town.
Yep. Love me some Slaw... Funkslaw that is. The Slaw is a pretty hot band in the liberty town right now. Despite a world of Boybands, GaGa women, and the next American Idol craze (I love this guy)...Funkslaw brings it back to the basics. The Slaw hits a note that reminds me of past greats like The Dead, Dylan, or The Band, but offers a cool contemporary spin. The Slaw is pretty much a time capsule filled of awesome that the city has been waiting for. God knows I have. I miss good music.

The local music scene in Philly as of late is pretty amazing. Bands like The Capitol Years, Funkslaw and Jealousy Curve light up the stage at great old and new venues like The Khyber, Johnny Brendas, World Cafe Live and of course, the Troc. You can find Funkslaw live on Feb 6 at the Troc so get out and support the bands that make this city Philly cool.

Here is a side dish of Funkslaw right here. Get a scoop today.

Pants on the ground.

touch and go...

Touch down in Fairmount Park...

The new Please Touch Museum is a pretty happening place for kids. I took Ethan there not too long ago and was very impressed with the new digs. A clear upgrade from the previous version that lived on the parkway. And with the new park location, it has become a new Philly destination and landmark.

Go give it a touch for yourself.
